Bringing knowledge to insurance sector in SA

    In a joint venture project with the Israel Trade Mission and the Embassy of Israel in South Africa, they had the privilege to host Gil Arazi who is a prominent Israeli Insurance and Insurtech thought leader in South Africa.
    Mr Arazi is the Founder of FinTLV Venture Capital, which is the first Insurtech VC in Israel. Mr Arazi presented Israeli Insurtech startups in front of some of the leading South African insurance companies including Discovery, Old Mutual, Telesure, Hollard and Outsurance.
    Arazi hosted sessions with these leading SA companies and presented around 50 startups from all sectors such as cyber, Artificial Intelligence, video processing, wellness, smart contracts and many more. They got a feel of what innovation Israel offers in the insurance sector.
    Head of Trade and Economic Mission, Amit Lev said, "It was amazing to see the interest and the passion of SA companies towards innovation and getting new technologies on board. We have already started conversations with some of these South African companies about the next steps and even visiting Israel to get a closer look at the Israeli Insurtech ecosystem."
    The Embassy of Israel and the Israel Trade Mission are looking at hosting an Insurtech delegation at the beginning of 2020 to showcase the Israeli Insurtech sphere to South African companies alike.
